Young people today are acquainted with sexual matters and eroticism like never before. Moreover, increasing numbers are learning how to profit from such phenomena. The range of activities in the sex industry is vast. Young people between 18 and 35 earn money as strippers, working for escort services, in the pornography industry, as call boys, even as prostitutes. Meanwhile, such erotically oriented occupations have come to be regarded as “hip.” And it is worth mentioning that an hour spent at such occupations brings far more money than most occasional or temporary labor, or even regular employment. Recently, even high school students and academics have invaded the sex industries in order to earn money. One individual - realizing that a certain level of luxury is a priority for him - might do so in order to earn enough money to live in style. Another might do so in order to fulfill her dreams – which happen to be unrelated to sex work. Some find themselves living double lives. Still others embark on regular “careers” in this unsavory milieu, even breaking off relations with their families for the sake of their jobs. Society's tolerance only extends so far...
